Ask the Invisalign Expert: Best Payment Options for Invisalign Treatment
Dr. Naqvi: Hello, everyone! I'm Dr. Sumbul Naqvi and we are doing an Ask the Experts section.
And Dan is an expert, when it comes to finding the right payment option for our Invisalign patients, So Dan one of the biggest questions people ask me when I tell them they need Invisalign, that they say, Oh my God, it's so expensive.
So but I know that you have these amazing payment options. So what are the best options that most patients go for?
Dan: Honestly, great question. Most patients go for a 0% option because you can split up your monthly payments and you don't pay anything towards interest. So that's an amazing option.
The other option I see a lot is patients who want a lower monthly payment. So once they get some money, they pay it off and call it a day, but it's going to be as low as $70, $80 a month on a longer term.
Dr. Naqvi:
One of the biggest questions I hear from patients is will my insurance cover this and how much is the coverage going to be and when am I going to get the check.
So do you wanna anwser those questions.
Dan: Sure, so insurance a lot of times does cover some portion of it. So say if you have a $1,000, it could be up to maybe $2,500.
And the way that it works is that you would pay us, whether you do a financing or you swipe a Card or pay out of pocket, however you decide to do it.
And then when the trays actually come in and we give you the first tray, that's when insurance tells us to bill that. When you teeth starts to move, that's when they start processing your claim.
And then as they process it, they either do a lump sum payment of your maximum or they do quarterly or monthly payments.
Dr. Naqvi:
How long do they normally take to process that claim?
Dan:
30 days, 30 business days. So if they don't process it in 30 days, we have a team that follows up with insurance just to make sure you're getting the full benefit that you have.
